This year, ‘Wonder Woman‘ was a huge and unexpected success at the box office, proving that 2017 was the women’s year. Less than two months after the success, Warner Bros. has some major news to share. ‘Wonder Woman’ and DC fans should mark their calendars and prepare for ‘Wonder Woman 2’, because the official release date has been announced for December 13th, 2019.
The amazing Gal Gadot will officially be back as Diana of Themyscira, but we don’t know yet if ‘Wonder Woman’ director, Patty Jenkins, will be back, as she is in talks with the producers. So, the director part of the movie is not official yet.
Since the official release, ‘Wonder Woman’ has grossed more than $389 million at the domestic box office, passing Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ over the weekend.
‘Wonder Woman’ has many supporters, especially women. Oprah Winfrey, Octavia Spencer, Lupita Nyong’o, Kerry Washington, Dwayne Johnson and Chris Hemsworth congratulated Gal Gadot, Patty Jenkins and Hollywood for having a new bad ass superhero.
Even if she is Wonder Woman, Gal Gadot shared on Instagram some of her normal life, saying that she has always sleepless nights with her two daughters, but she is so happy about spending time with them. Wonder Woman would also need some sleep, right?
Until the release of ‘Wonder Woman 2’, we will see Gal Gadot in ‘Justice League’ which will be released on November 17th, 2017.
