Arrowverse led by Melissa Benoist speaks out against Sexual Harassment amid Producer’s Suspension

The producer of Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow Andrew Kreisberg has been suspended over sexual harassment by Warner Bros. Stars from the TV shows have now come out to speak out against sexual harassment no matter the place, following the trend set by Gal Gadot earlier who said she will quit the role of Wonder Woman if the producer is not suspended.

The movie industry keeps experiencing new cases of sexual harassment after the New York Times reported the abusive behavior made against Harvey Weinstein and other members of the entertainment industry. Recently, Eddie Berganza and Louis C.K. have also been accused of abuse.

The accusation leveled against Warner Bros producer Kreisberg keeps increasing, with fans and now stars from Arrowverse condemning such acts.

Supergirl Melissa Benoist was the first to tweet about this, stating that it is a heartbreak hearing of such incidences.

Arrow’s very special Emily Bett (Felicity Smoke) also commented on the issue, supporting the accusers.

Each of the sexual harassments so far recorded in the industry since that of Harvey Weinstein all have different consequences and it will be interesting to know how the final outcome of the situation will be. At the moment, Kreisberg has been suspended by the studio after 19 individuals, 14 women and 5 men publicly spoke out against the producer.

In their statement, Warner Bros TV Group stated that “We have recently been made aware of allegations of misconduct against Andrew Kreisberg. We have suspended Mr. Kreisberg and are conducting an internal investigation. We take all allegations of misconduct extremely seriously, and are committed to creating a safe working environment for our employees and everyone involved in our productions.”

Kreisberg according to sources has helped create an unsafe and uncomfortable working environment for women by making inappropriate comments towards women’s appearances, asking for a massage from female staff members and kissing and touching some women without their consent. Many of the victims were afraid that their jobs will be at risk if they reported the producer to the company’s HR. sources stated that his harassment got worse as he gained further promotions in the company.
